Your kitchen can either help you live healthy or secretly expose you to toxins. Many everyday cookware items and appliances contain chemicals that can leach into your food, especially when heated.
We chose Our Place Titanium Cookware that has a durable titanium interior, no traditional non stick coating and is safe for high heat cooking.
Pro tip: it is also super aesthetic! Shop here 👉Non Toxic Cookware
We air fry most of our foods and for that switching to a non toxic air fryer was key. We chose the Our Place Wonder Pro which is designed with safe materials and does not contain PFAs and phthalates or any teflon coatings found in many traditional air fryers. I found something similar for you to shop here 👉Non Toxic Air Fryer.
When baking, you also have to be mindful of what seeps into your foods. Choose bakeware that is safe and free of harmful coatings. This bakeware checks the boxes for durability, thoughtful materials and everyday usability.
Do not forget the toxins in the coffee you drink!! We also switched to a Stainless Steel Coffee Machine which does not leach harmful chemicals like BPA when heated and reduces plastic contact with hot water.
When cooking, healthy cooking oils are an important part of creating a non-toxic kitchen because the quality of your oils directly impacts your health. Choose minimally processed, cold-pressed oils like extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil, and avoid highly refined vegetable oils that may be oxidized or inflammatory. Store your healthy oils in glass oil bottles to prevent chemical leaching and protect them from light, preserving freshness and nutrients. Check those here 👇
Make sure your food is stored the right way after you made all that effort to cook it properly! Glass food storage containers are better than plastic because they don’t leach harmful chemicals like BPA, BPS, or phthalates into your food — especially when heating or storing hot meals. Unlike plastic containers, glass won’t absorb stains, odors, or bacteria, making it a safer and more hygienic option for everyday food storage. Glass is also non-porous, more durable over time, and free from microplastics, making it a smart choice for a truly non-toxic kitchen. We chose these 👇
Creating a low-tox kitchen does not happen overnight. Start with the small swaps, and build from there. You are on the right path! Small changes add up to a healthier home.
